Livin' the vida condo

Old plumbing repairs notwithstanding, this condo life is pretty sweet. Coming home during last night's snowstorm, I pulled into a dry, warm underground parking space. At five-thirty this morning I heard a snow blower for a few minutes; when I opened the front door at six for a peek at the weather, I discovered that the landscape service clears the snow all the way to our front doors.

Sweet!

The city of Greenfield, on the other hand, needs some lessons in snowplowing. I didn't expect the side streets to be done, but the intersections on the major road were only cleared in one direction, leaving a huge pile of slushy frozen stuff to drive through/over if you needed to turn.

Passing through three different municipalities on my short drive to work, I can clearly see the differences in snow plowing mentalities. Once I get to work, however, I know everything will be clear and dry. Our Facilities crew absolutely rocks - they take fantastic care of our students and staff.
