Office Cleaning Day!!
I needed both hands to bring in my work bag and a bucket of cleaning supplies, so no coffee.
Office mates laughed a little to see me don an actual apron, but my cleaning assignment was the kitchen (yes, the place I never use, and when I do, I CLEAN UP AFTER MYSELF, unlike several colleagues who shall not be named - unless I decide to publicly shame them). I knew I'd be splashing water around and leaning on things, so apron it was.
They are just jealous of my Thanksgiving-themed finery.
Our regular cleaning guy is fantastic, but he is not responsible for dusting cubicles, nor for anything in the kitchen beyond trash and floor cleaning. Every so often, we all lend a hand and get everything back to baseline clean.
I will say that it is very instructive to clean alongside other people - it's pretty easy to separate the type A from the type B.
After cleaning here, I need to go home and - you guessed it - clean. Last week's supper for twelve strangers was postponed due to sickness, so the young ladies are coming tomorrow night. Two massive slabs of beef (I've named them Chuck and Charlie, too) will braise in the crockpot, while the oven is used to roast veggies. We all should be able to take some leftovers.
So very much to be thankful for this season; may we not only remember to spend time giving thanks now, but throughout the year.
