We set a record for October with nine straight days of seventy degree or higher temps (including two days eighty and higher!).
Payback is, well, cold and damp. The next week shows highs only in the low to mid-fifties, and lots of rain.
My kind of weather.
In the bustle of moving, I still managed to pick up two new cookbooks, both from Gooseberry Patch. Once highlights autumn recipes, the other slow cooker, skillet and casserole dishes. Sometime in the last month I also downloaded a soup, stew and chili cookbook.
Some form of one-pot meal will be simmering on the back burner most days. If you are interested in stopping in for dinner, drop me a line!
