It's a brisk, breezy morning here, so grab a latte mug filled with your favorite hot beverage. In fact, you may want to stock up, as the weather appears to have finally turned to full-on Fall! There is a rumor that a couple of days late next week will see highs only in the forties, along with (dare I say it?) light frost overnight. Yay for killing allergens!
Semi-busy weekend ahead. One goal is to finish lining the kitchen cupboards and get as much of the kitchen set up as possible. It's been a lot of take out the last several weeks, and I'd really like to get back to cooking.
The second goal is to put away (in other words, find permanent homes for) some of the flotsam in the living room, so it can become an inviting space for guests. A friend is indeed visiting Saturday night, giving this project a bit of a push.
Next Friday a dear friend will be in town, so the old card playing gang is getting together. I need to make sure there is room in the dining room to both serve an easy dinner and play cards (see goal #1 above).
Sleep is high on the priority list. A little bit of a virus is making its home in my sinuses and I'd dearly love to do nothing but doze on the couch and sip orange juice. How sad is it that I need to schedule that?
