Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers, National League Central Division Champs 2011! I was on my way home from playing cards when I turned north on 60th just in time to see a huge white chrysanthemum light up the sky to the north, over Miller Park, and knew then the Cubs must have defeated the Cards to give us the push over the top.
Thirty-two years since we were last division champs, more than a generation (and a change of leagues) ago. Not a bad follow up to the Packers' Superbowl victory.
