Crafty

No one should own this much embroidery floss.

Just after college I went through a counted cross stitch phase that lasted a number of years, until quilting crowded it out. Or rather, before my poor eyes began having difficulty seeing the twenty-two count aida cloth I was using for the really fine projects. At any rate, for a long time I would buy DMC floss any time it was on sale.

While I've run through a few other handcrafts, trying them out then selling or donating the equipment as the urge faded, I've never given away all the embroidery floss. You never quite know when some may come in handy.

The splendor and depth of my stash came to light as I continued packing the office/sewing room. I'm taking a short break, but the room should be totally packed up by dinner time. Hurrah - one room completely done. Only five and a half rooms (and two and a half days) to go.
