In the past ten days, we've had two major snowstorms and three days of single digit temps with sub-zero wind chills. So when I walked out of church into a sunny, forty degree day, it made perfect sense to open the moon roof wide and roll down the windows.
As soon as the car started moving, I closed the moon roof except for the tilted up back and rolled both windows mostly up, but it was the thought that counted. I also could not resist taking this picture through the window in the roof while stopped in a long line:
High, wispy clouds. The sunshine lasted most of the day, going a long way towards relieving the mid-winter blues. Come the end of February, most of us would like to see winter end (well, except for the fellow church goer who said he really likes winter - and he's a transplant from southern California (which sort of explains it)). It is days like today that make it easier to bear the late March six inch snowfalls.
It's going to be almost this warm all week; how much do you want to bet that we'll see at least a few of our college kids wearing shorts with their parkas?
