Amazon has offered me another month long trial of Amazon Prime - free two day shipping, no matter what size of order. As happened the last time, God arranged it so that I just happened to be in the market for some very heavy (literally) merchandise that is cheaper at Amazon than in local stores, but usually much too expensive to ship. Love it when God takes care of the little things.
Long weekend coming up, and since Monday is a holiday, it doesn't count as one of my "summer days", so I don't have to be at work before dawn (Yay). Unfortunately, a must-have meeting for next week involved people several pay grades above mine, and the only time all of us could get together is an hour after my normal quitting time. Sucks to be me, sometimes.
AND that same morning I need to be at the lab at seven a.m., because I need a fasting blood draw for a doctor appointment the following week. By the time I get to work I'll be on a caffeine-deprived blood sugar low. Again, sucks to be me (or in this case, my co-workers) sometimes.
On the bright side, it is supposed to be much cooler and drier this weekend, and I plan to spend the weekend alternately cleaning the sewing room and reading. Or reading while cleaning (it can be done). Or maybe taking naps.
My new business cards for work came today (only eight months after my promotion, but oh well). I have a very nice business card case I keep my personal cards in (what, doesn't everyone have personal calling cards?) and these just barely fit, width-wise. I think they are 1/32 of an inch wider than normal. Odd.
Better get off to bed. I'm not making sense even to myself anymore. Now that the weather is cooling, my brain will be working again and you should, in theory anyway, see more substantive posts.
