It's been a quiet week, but at least one thing has been accomplished - booking my trip to New Orleans later this fall for a work conference. As long as I'm there, I'm spending a few extra days to sight see. Any company girls from that area want to give me tips on what shouldn't be missed, or even want to meet up? Last night I spent a bit of time in a different type of creative endeavor, working on Shutterfly to put together a photo book of pictures from a first birthday party. I've done photo scrapbooks before (long, long ago, before scrapbooking was "in"), but this is the first time I've gone all digital. They have an "easy" option, which is the route I went. Fun...love being able to rearrange pictures, add text, pick backgrounds. Thanks to a very generous discount code, the books were half price, allowing me order copies not only for the parents, but both sets of grandparents as well. Can't wait to see them.
Easy weekend coming up - hair appointment, coffee with a friend, my third-to-last Monday "summer day" off. It is going to be strange to be at work five days per week instead of four when October rolls around! While it's been nice having three day weekends, I'm not sure I'll do this again next summer; working nine and half hour days all summer is a bit wearing.
