At home

Some activities for the next few days, in no particular order:

Go to Starbucks really, really early in the morning so you can get home before the street is parked up with people going to the fair.

Mix cookie dough, then bake the cookies at 5:30 the next morning, before the flat starts to heat up.

Read at least two novels cover-to-cover.

Transcribe current notes for discernment study into computer, for eventual printing on 4 x 6 cards.

Research new computer printers.

Do a bit of laundry, spending as much time in the (much cooler) basement as possible.

Browse through quilting/craft books and magazines, idly planning yet another project.

Watch all of Firefly on Netflix.

Weed through fall decorations, in a vain attempt to rush the season.

Plan going away gift for best friend.

Write too many short, pointless blog posts.

Rethink blog pages; write, edit and post testimony page.

Find new blog background.

Prepare a variety of meals requiring little to no cooking (strips of turkey-ham wrapped around slices of green pepper, with a side of grapes is a current favorite).

Pretend to be Spanish, taking a siesta between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. every day.

Turn the fans off, dust quickly and turn the fans back on.

Make more ice.
