On the brighter side, a friend brought me two big (BIG) bags of poly batting yesterday. I've not yet unrolled them, but she says they are BIG sheets. I'm thinking that this batting, combined with the multitude of fabric in my stash might make a whole bunch of charity quilts. Since I don't do
For the last five (six? maybe seven =^o)years, I've been on a "stash reduction" mission, trying to work through the bins of fabric I already own. While several quilts have been pieced primarily from that fabric, there's still enough left that I feel a bit guilty. The plan has always been to do scrap quilts with it, but time slips away. The same friend who gave me the batting suggested getting a group together to make them...possibilities.
Not much new over the weekend. Spent a lot of time reading; it seems all it took for me to get back in the habit of carrying a book with me was to put the book on a little device that fits well in my purse. Unfortunately, the fact that device can also store games may be a bit of a pitfall, although if they are word games, I can at least count them as "educational", can't I?
I'm in love with the swiffer duster. While I use microfiber dust cloths that are supposed to capture the dust, the swiffer thing actually does capture it. Dusted the bedroom - including the baseboards and tops of doorframes, the computer desk and a couple of other things and didn't end up with that tight, stuffy feeling in my head. It really is nice to be able to breathe.
Something goofy is up with my left arm, in the area above and below (and at) my elbow. Ibuprofen seems to be taking most of the pain away, but it hurts enough I'm considering making a doctor appointment. No sense making a snap decision about this sort of thing =^).
Enough nonsense - back to work for me. I left the umbrella at home this morning; while I need to work a bit later tonight, I'd prefer to leave before the skies open up early this evening.
