If I've been telling you since July that in order to clear a certain outstanding item on your bank rec, you need to talk to another department, letting them know the funds are there so they can do the paperwork...
If I've been telling you the exact same thing on other items of this type for the last ten years...
If you still persist in coming to me, expecting me to magically agree to do your job and clear the item...
Please do not act all injured when I tell you, yet again, that you need to notify the other department directly that the funds are still not cleared.
I don't want to be a manager anymore.
