I tried to bring cake -

- but it keeps getting stuck in the keyboard, and the ice cream has melted into the mouse. After the pony incident at last year's party, we decided not to invite them back either.

Happy second blogiversary to me! How time flies. In some ways, not much has changed. In other ways...well, not much has changed either, and that can be good. New things are on the way - a new small group to lead after the new year, a plan to put together for eventual home-ownership, a decision to make about whether or not to seriously job-hunt. If I intend to stay, should I take advantage of the free tuition and pick up some fun classes? Or, better yet, train for an entirely different career?

Too much to think about. I need to go enjoy my blogiversary hot chocolate, watch a bit of White Christmas and try to get to bed early. While the last great ice storm went south of us and nailed Chicago, the next one is on its way directly to Milwaukee. Followed, of course by 1-3 inches of new snow during the day tomorrow.

Too bad the university doesn't give us our blogiversary day as a holiday.
