The picture here is taken from the door, looking towards the window, which looks out on the backside of the red brick church next door to us. If you go to the window, looking out and to the left, you can see Wisconsin Avenue and I-43 north. Note the piles of old report covers on the window sill. Our window sills are 6" deep (our windows open!), with marble sills. It's a nice place to keep your yogurt cold in the winter. Just don't leave it overnight, unless you like frozen yogurt.
This is looking toward the corner opposite the door. These are two separate pieces of furniture, with no connecting corner piece. The desk was a double pedestal, so I was straddling the left side pedestal almost every time I used the computer, which is 80% of my work. Not exactly ergodynamic.
The mouse mat is the Road Runner helpfully holding out the (defective) rip cord for the (unopened) parachute to Wyle E. Coyote. Very apropos. The mug is a gift from a dear friend, and says "Proud to be a 100% qualified, auditing, bookkeeping, precise, honest, tax advising accountant" on the front and "million dollar accountant" on the back.
I wish.
The $1 million, that is.
Different angle, so you can see the quilt. It is one of my first machine quilted wallhangings, and it is crooked as a politician in an election year. But it cuts down on the echoes, and makes me happy when I look at it. For reference, the quilt has not been moved at all in the pictures in the "In with the new!" post.
Looking directly right from the door, another four drawer file cabinet. This and the brown one in the first picture are the same size, with the top of the cabinet at about clavicle height on me.
That pretty well does it for the old furniture!
