The Milwaukee Police Department made three arrests yesterday in the case of the stolen Stradivarius, and have announced today that they have recovered the violin itself.
Great news.
Even better news would be that the violin has been thoroughly examined by experts and found to be unharmed. Fantastic news would be that the owner would still be willing to loan the instrument to Almond. She herself has said that the violin does no good (and no good is done to it ) if it is sitting in a safety deposit box.
