A portion of this afternoon was spent sewing on patches - embroidered badges, if you will, on a friend's martial arts top thingee (that would be the technical term for those of us who are clueless about the various forms of martial arts).
Five of the nine were for specialties in specific weapons.
Yikes.
Yet this is one of the gentlest, kindest, most God-honoring men I know, an incredible husband and father. He's going on a mission trip in a couple of weeks, teaching martial arts and sharing the gospel.
It's always an honor to help someone who is going out to share Christ.
