And the rain came down

Sheet lightning, dark clouds on the way to work. Naturally, the skies opened up about the time I rolled down my window to swipe my card for the parking gate. Unbelievable, but the skies are midnight dark right now.

I love a good thunderstorm, though I prefer to watch them from the couch at home, with a cup of coffee in my hand.

This will be short lived, they say; clear skies return by lunchtime. We needed more rain to help the drought recovery, but a gentle all day rain might have been a wee bit easier for the ground to absorb. Waiting for news of flash flooding...
