Just a few things that caught my eye:
Utah Valley University is being sued by a professor denied tenure because students rated his class as "too tough". What I find interesting is that the course is described as a "capstone" - in other words, the students in question would be near the end of their academic endeavors. By this time they should be able to think and learn under any teaching method.
Wisconsin is adding text messages to the "do not call" list. About time, too. As a rule, I don't text; it is beyond annoying to hear the beep, check the message and discover it is some fly-by-night little company trying to sell me something.
Apparently stabbing someone seven times and cutting her throat is "wrong", at least according to the hit man who did the job. Wold looks like an ax murderer in his mug shot; Johnson, who apparently acted as intermediary, looks like Santa. All three should be locked up for life.
Women who drink more than three cups of coffee a day have a 20% lower risk of skin cancer. For men, the benefit is 9 percent. See, it's the coffee drinking that keeps my skin clear and smooth. That may be why the new stylist at my salon thought I was fifteen years younger than I am (even as she rinsed the hair dye out...).
Yes, vacuums make me happy. The Dyson 25C arrived yesterday, purchased through Woot for half the retail price. It is factory reconditioned, but still came with a decent warranty. The comparison with the ten year old Dirt Devil should be interesting.
