High winds

Yesterday's strong winds knocked out power to a portion of my old city. I thought when I went to bed last night that Greenfield was in the clear, but when I woke up around one a.m., the power was out. Not much I could - or needed - to do at that point, so I went back to sleep. Power was on again in the morning.

Would that the effects of high winds in life could be fixed as easily.

If you are a praying person, please pray for my aunt Pat and her family. Her younger brother Jim was killed in a motorcycle accident in Kentucky yesterday. His fiance, who was the passenger, is in critical condition. Pat is my aunt by marriage; her extended family, Jim's kids and their families live all over the country. Pat is executor; even deciding where to bury him will be complicated. Pray for peace and comfort for Pat, for her husband Tom to know how best he can support her, and for the families of both Jim and his fiance as they work through their grief.
