Good morning! You may want to take your coffee iced this morning, as we are on the leading edge of a heat wave that will bring temps in the low to mid nineties for the next week. I'm not thrilled; I don't handle heat well, particularly as I have no place to escape from it (well, other than work, but there are limits!)
The lack of air conditioning - or a landlord who cares - is spurring on the condo-hunting. I've seen two places in person this week, have an appointment tonight for a viewing, found out another place I wanted to see already has a offer, and picked out at least two more to view. Phew. Scroll down to a few previous posts and I've links to what I'm considering. I'm not keen on running around town in 90-degree heat, but at least I'll know if the condo's a/c is working!
On top of the usual heat related woes, the steamy temps in my flat make it difficult to summon the energy to pack. I started with books and wall decor; I think I have about four more boxes of books alone to go. Last night would have been perfect to pack, but I opted to make twice-baked potatoes instead, as well as do some general clean up. Hey, it's going to be too hot to use the oven for a while, and the potatoes freeze, providing a nice side to don't-need-to-heat-the-kitchen-much-to-prepare salmon.
That's all the excitement around here; time to get ready for work. Yea, Friday!
