Yeah, I'm dusting behind, between, under, over and around things. The sun is out, making it easier to see what is dust and what isn't. A winter with the house shut up and the heat on leaves the house feeling a bit like Kansas during the dust bowl years, no matter how often you clean.
I'm feeling the urge to box everything up, which is both a boon and a curse. Everything does eventually need to be boxed up, and there is a lot of stuff I won't really need in the next nine months. On the other hand, I've nowhere to really store the full boxes. Still, the little things...I think most of my CDs will fit into the decorative box sitting on the treadle (it's a big box, and I started going digital with my music over two years ago). The little porcelain teapot my grandparents brought back from San Francisco's Chinatown when I was about eight needs to be evaluated - it started out as a full set, but forty-odd years later, it is down to assorted pieces. I think they may end up as funky Christmas tree ornaments...
Hmm. For today, packing can wait. Clean more, in anticipation of the Crazy Canasta Chicks coming over Friday for cards, then go play a bit in the sunshine. Or at least go somewhere where I can sit and look at it without feeling I should be vacuuming.
My right forearm is sporting a rather magnificent and sizable purple bruise. The nurse yesterday had a devil of a time finding a vein for the IV; after four tries there, she eventually found a usable one in the back of my hand (which did not bruise - odd). The purple is fairly attractive; the yellow and green as it continues to heal will not be - but, hey! Packer colors! Truth to tell, that was the worst part of the whole experience. Don't like needles.
Back to cleaning, I suppose. The sunlight is deceptive; it is still pretty chilly out, even though it looks like spring. The snow is gone from all but the most shaded or highest piled spots, and a bit of green grass is showing. I've not looked, but I'm willing to bet some brave tulips are beginning to poke their heads out of the ground on the sunny side of the house.
But just to make it seem more like spring, I think I'll stop at the grocery and pick up a bunch of daffodils for the diningroom table.
