Ten reasons I wish I could telecommute

While I work diligently not to bring work home, it happens, particularly when I'm working on several high visibility, high consequence of failure projects at the same time (either my bosses have a lot of confidence in me, or I'm a moron - take your pick).  Anyway, I figured out a few of the reasons I seem to get more done working from home:
  1. The simple fact that I am working for free increases my productivity and ability to concentrate.
  2. The coffee is much better at home.
  3. I can sing along to the big band music on the ipod without anyone complaining.
  4. No coworkers lined up at my door wanting to ask silly questions try to dump their work on me "collaborate" on anything.
  5. No shoes are required.
  6. Soft, comfy sweater and yoga pants are the wardrobe of the day.
  7. I have a full supply of colored markers and felt-tip pens with which to cross-reference.
  8. The only person running the printer out of paper is me.
  9. The snacks available are much tastier.
  10. Did I mention the coffee?
The official word is that my office will be painted on Tuesday, then put back together Wednesday morning.  It is probably too much to ask to work from home that day; honestly, I would get more done in my home office than wandering around the workplace trying to find an empty cubicle.

Maybe if I bring the ipod, they'll send me home?
