Snotty

As in "head filled with", not attitude.  Though the former often leads to the latter.

This is a mystery cold, as I've not been among the ankle-biters who are generally the purveyors of rhino virus.  Even my co-workers - notorious for sharing germs whilst withholding vital work related information - seem to be healthy.

There are definite perks to being sick.  License to doze in the recliner all evening, only getting up to go to bed for a solid night's sleep is one.  Fuzzy warm home made quilts to doze under are another.  George Webb's incredibly salty but tasty chicken noodle soup is required.

The downside, of course, is that life goes on.  That includes things at work that must be done.  One small mercy for the next two days is that I (currently, anyway) only have one meeting scheduled, and it is not one for which I need to prepare (or think).  Based on the fact that I was very, very warm this morning, in spite of still having all the windows open (and it went into the mid fifties last night), I  think I may be running a slight fever; that may be an advantage with the type of work I do.  Being slightly delirious is a desirable attribute when working with tax.

Just ask Congress.

Don't worry about catching my cold; I've sent a shot of disinfectant down the intertubes, to kill the nasty little bugs.  I'm trying not to sneeze on the monitor, and I'm typing with gloves on.  If you've been moved to feel sorry for me, a container of chocolate chip cookies aimed my way would be a blessing.  I'll be the one taking a nap under my desk.
