Light Up the Sky - The Afters
A drift of fluffy clouds hung in the sky, pewter grey mixed with steel blue. Across the lower edges, though, a deepening wash of coral pink, like a child's cheeks when they come in from the cold. What a gorgeous sunrise this morning.
Only it wasn't the eastern sky over which this display was spread, but the western. The rising sun reached out to kiss the clouds with the promise of the day to come.
Life is like that. When we are facing storm clouds, when life is confused, restricting, and out of sorts God sends a bit of sunshine to remind us that even then, He is with us.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
