The coffeepot is making the hissing sound that means the brew cycle is almost over. The heady scent of cinnamon rolls is wafting from the oven; I could smell them all the way in the basement. Great way to start the week.
Lest you think it's all sweet treats and java over here, two loads of laundry are done, eight cans of old paint hauled from the basement to the trunk of the car and some old bathroom rugs taken out to the garbage. The dishes are put away and I'm about ready to sit for an hour and read the paper on-line.
Later it's off to the city yards to drop the paint, then to Goodwill to drop some decor items. A high school friend is in from New York, and we'll meet up at some point this afternoon.
The air dried out a bit overnight and the temperatures moderated a bit. The freshness of the air today seems to be reminding us that fall is on her way, so enjoy what's left of summer.
