Company Girl coffee 073010
Friday at last! Summer hours are great, but putting in a full work week in four days is a bit wearing. Having Mondays off more than makes up for it, though.
The weekend will bring...absolutely social no plans that I'm aware of, at least for Saturday and Sunday. This weekend, however, is the Great Provisioning - the last weekend before the State Fair begins. My flat is at the far end of the distance people are willing to walk to get to the fair, and the parking spaces around here fill up fast. Stocking up this weekend will eliminate last minute runs to the store, lessening the chance of having to park in Timbuktu.
Speaking of the fair, a friend and I are going a week from Monday to hear Third Day! I bought the tickets when they first went on sale (February 27th!) and wound up with second row, center section seats. Saying I'm looking forward to this would be an understatement.
The weekend is supposed to be (relatively) cooler, and I'm also looking forward to getting back to the sewing machine. Well over a month ago it took a single afternoon to piece and assemble half the rows for a queen size quilt; I'd like to piece the rest of the rows and start putting the top together tomorrow.
Although I do have one appointment tomorrow: after a five year hiatus, I'm getting my hair permed. Since I don't actually know what I want yet, this could be interesting. Pfft - why worry, I've got twenty-four hours and seventeen minutes to decide!
Check out Home Sanctuary for more coffee talk.
