Big cheese - world version

Wisconsin means cheese. While other states may make fun of the "cheeseheads", we quietly go about the business of producing world-class cheese products.

The World Champion Cheese Contest is underway in Madison. Preliminary rounds are complete, and Wisconsin products won the top spots in 21 of 78 classes. Judging will soon begin for the Big Cheese prize: The World Champion Cheese.

More and more of these artisan-style cheeses are becoming available in local stores. The Wisconsin-made fontina I bought a week ago is out-of-this-world tasty; this may just be my new favorite. Try a Wisconsin cheese for yourself.
