As MJ is on vacation, and the software is working on my machine (after years of not, due to a not-playing-nicely-with-others problem and several upgrades to hard- and software), I am uploading journal entries this week (copy-paste-upload-post to general ledger).
All that to say that the upload program actually cheers when you successfully transfer an entry.
You take your validation any way you can get it.
