Much rejoicing in Cheeseland

I'm not sure which victory made the state happier, the Packers over the Seahawks or the Giants over the Cowboys. Certainly the second was a gift we didn't expect. Note to any New Yorkers coming to Lambeau for the game: it's going to be cold. Very cold. The high on Sunday, unless the pattern does something the weather gurus didn't anticipate, is supposed to be seven degrees. The game starts at 5:30 - after sundown, and well after the daily high is reached. They aren't really expecting the field to thaw out, even with the special grass and the under-field heating.

In unrelated news, the tax incentives the state enacted to encourage filmmakers to come to Wisconsin appear to be working. Though final details need to be ironed out, scouts have been looking for locations in the state for a movie about John Dillinger, rumoured to star Johnny Depp, possibly directed by Michael Mann. Not sure we are ready for that.

The Body Worlds exhibit opens Friday at the Milwaukee Public Museum, just around the corner from my office. It looks interesting, though probably not for the squeamish. We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made. Hopefully, I can get tickets before the exhibit moves on June 1st.
