The good news is that the project I've been trying to finish is 98% done on my part, and in someone else's hands for review. That is actually a bit frightening, as I now have zero control over the timing of when I will get it back. This could still screw up a day of vacation.
The cold, the snow, the project and a cold have left me exhausted. More than anything, I need a couple of days to rest. I haven't even figured out exactly what I want to do while I'm off, and not having a plan is never a good thing; time slides by. On January 3rd I'm hosting breakfast for the early morning Bible study - that would be 5:45 a.m, in case you've forgotten. Not a big deal, especially with the delay bake feature on the oven. The Friday after Christmas, I think, is when Julene and I are going to do the all-day apres-ski thing while her kids ski. Somewhere in there will be coffee/dessert plans with various friends. Lots of cleaning, cooking for the freezer, sleeping, napping, reading, sewing.
In the meantime, just getting through to the end of this week will be a major accomplishment.
