A crowd of students mills in front of the Old Gym along Clybourn. It's an odd place to gather, as Clybourn is mostly shut down at that point due to interchange construction, and the Old Gym is primarily used to house the extensive ROTC programs on campus.
Oh, wait. Drawing nearer, I can see a few picket-type signs and what seems to be a large banner, all very neatly done. Is this a protest?
The traffic signal is in my favor, and I can only catch the words on one banner as I drive by:
Stop Iraqi suffering
Hmmm...didn't we already do that?
At least, from what I can see, the signs appear to be correctly spelled.
This is a liberal arts university, after all.
