Forget death and taxes, change is the real certainty

Southern gentleman and my own blog-father Terry is taking down his shingle. It seems the government he works for has finally recognized his worth, and is giving him greater responsibility and a chance to really make a difference. Not to mention a location further away from the toaster oven.

Well, crud. As can be seen from his hit counter, I tend to stop in and out of the possum-den throughout the day. Terry's description of the place as where you can have "...the sort of random conversation you have when friends drop by and sit a spell over in the chair by the door" makes his blog a very inviting place to visit. You never quite know what you will find. Many times the conversations in the comments set off a string of giggles it is hard to supress. Laughing uproariously at a computer monitor in an otherwise empty office is not exactly the image of a serious accountant.

Smart, thoughtful, witty and genuine, Terry's writing enriches the lives of all who read it.

The site will be left on and perhaps occasionally Terry will be able to dust it off a bit and give us an update on life at Casa Possum. In the interim, take a few minutes here and there to pray for the Oglesbys.

Marc of Spudlets is also facing a few challenging changes in his life, and I'm sure he would appreciate prayer. His company has been sold; changes are in the wind. It is entirely possible that in working to provide a smooth transition from one set of servers to those of the new owner, Marc may work himself out of a job. The Spudlet family is also awaiting word of when they may officially add two younguns to the 'tater bed; pray for the process to be expeditious and bump-free.
