For the first time in months, I slept in this morning. Really slept in. As in surfaced for good around nine, but didn't get out of bed for another forty-five minutes. While it felt great to get some decent rest, it made for a very slow start to what should have been a productive day.
The grocery run has been postponed until tomorrow, but the laundry is being done. I brought up the putty knife to fill some of the myriad nail holes, but while I located the hammer, I'm not sure where the new hangers that I bought last week were hidden when I had company Saturday. There is one more place to look; if they aren't there, I'll have to dig in the "tools" box the next time I go downstairs to change the laundry over. I may have something in there.
Tomorrow afternoon people are coming over to rehearse for an hour, and in the evening, the Crazy Canasta Chicks are coming, including one new recruit. I've discovered that having people over regularly encourages me to continue the organizing, unpacking and decorating. It even motivated me to put together the Christmas tree and pull out some of the decorations. Note that I still am not sure where to store the fall decor I took down...decisions, decisions.
At the moment I'm facing a pretty big decision on another life issue. Actually, I do know what needs to be done, but I'm still resenting the fact that I have to do it, if that makes sense. More on that when the dust settles.
Better get to it - one more load of laundry to wash and I should be good to go.
