Too late for a nap

I managed to miss the "nap window", though honestly, I think I took one with my eyes open for most of the afternoon. I'm blaming the glass of wine with lunch (St. Michelle Chardonnay - '09 - wonderful wine) for putting me half to sleep. I'm no drinker, that's obvious.

Truth to tell, other than playing canasta Friday night, I've done a whole lot of nothing this weekend. Except think about packing. Thinking is so very much better than doing, don't you think? In keeping with her Friday tradition, my mortgage officer threw me a little curveball via e-mail Friday, but at least this time, she told me she wouldn't be in the office that day.

Figuring out what to take for lunch and bringing some laundry up are the only things I need to accomplish tonight. It's been a nice weather weekend - not unbearably hot, and fairly low humidity. In fact, if I had already moved, this would have been a perfect weekend to spend on the patio, in a bit of shade from the table umbrella, deep in a book or two. Since the patio faces south and is sheltered on the other three sides, I'm hoping I can continue to use it well into October, or possibly even November (I like cold weather, remember).

This week should be fairly quiet, and I'd like to get a lot done at work. I've a four day weekend coming up, as my regular "summer day" is Friday, followed by the Labor Day holiday on Monday. It's going to be hot, humid and wet, if the forecast holds, so it may be time to hunker down and pack. If all stays on schedule, that will be less than two weeks to closing.

And no, I've not actually set a moving date, nor given notice. I suppose I should do that with my September rent check, huh?
