Free concert

I came to Panera for lunch, armed with books, laptop and various toys to keep me amused (and in the air conditioning) for the afternoon. The laptop contains my iTunes library, jailbroke rescued from the great hard drive crash of '09. I started by listening to an old Diamond Rio CD, then let the program continue through whatever happened to be checked after that.

Apparently today is the day for country, for next up was the two-CD collection of the Essential Johnny Cash.

The drawback to listening to much-loved music through earbuds is that ambient background noise is canceled out; it is easy to forget you are in a public place.

Good thing the restaurant is mostly empty. I'm not sure how many people appreciate my rendition of A Boy Named Sue.
