Some said it thundered

He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him,
   thick clouds dark with water.
Out of the brightness before him
hailstones and coals of fire broke through his clouds.
The LORD also thundered in the heavens,
and the Most High uttered his voice,
   hailstones and coals of fire.

Psalm 18:11 - 13

What a wild weather ride April has been so far!  A cloudy, drippy morning turned into a sunny, warm afternoon yesterday. This morning it rained just hard enough when I first left the house that I considered going back in for an umbrella; by the time I reached the coffeehouse, it had stopped.

The real show came shortly after our church service let out.

The skies opened up, and for more than five minutes quarter- to half-inch hailstones shot out of the sky. They hit with such force they bounced high after their initial strike; it looked like the hail was both falling from the sky and rising from the ground.

Awesome.

Often in scripture God is pictured as speaking through nature, particularly storms.  If that were the case today, what do you think He was telling us?
