A plague on both your my house

Back to work, after three days at home with what appears to the be plague.  This cold simply will not leave, though it is much better today than it has been.  Is it so much to want to feel normal again?  Anyway, I simply need to be at work this week; I've got a four day weekend to recover.

There is, however, no plaque in my house.  Or more specifically, on my teeth.  I'm not contagious, so I kept the delayed teeth cleaning appointment scheduled for early this morning.  The office had a festive feel, as the dentist himself is out deer hunting this week.  Bambi stalking is big in Wisconsin.

In other news, the local news is full of coverage of the death of Laurie "Bambi" Bembenek, convicted in the early eighties of killing her then husband's ex-wife. Eight years after her conviction, she escaped, went on the run and was eventually captured in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  She maintained her innocence until her death; the evidence is just murky enough that it is possible she was wrongfully convicted.

And I have no spiffy segue from that.
