Cotton pickin' shortages

To add to the great pumpkin shortage, we now are facing a possible shortage of cotton.  While I can make do without pumpkin pie, cotton is, as the manufacturers say, the very fabric of our lives.  It may be time to stock up on skivvies before the price increases hit (as if the manufacturers will wait until they are actually paying higher prices for raw materials to raise the price of their retail products).

The good news is that, while quilting cotton is pretty pricey even now (quilt shop, first run quality fabric will set you back anywhere from $8.50 to over $10 per yard), I have enough stash fabric on hand to keep me sewing no matter how long the shortage lasts.

Though it may be rather odd to be wearing patchwork panties....
