Not my story

It's not my story to tell.

But if it were, you would be amazed at the gracious mercy of God, His tender care for the least of us, His orchestration of every detail in a dance designed to bring us to Him.

Your heart would break that someone could see so little value in themselves that they treat life so cavalierly, see themselves as so broken that they aren't worth fixing. Through streaming tears you would marvel, watching Jesus reach out, take a hand and lead the way out of the darkness, demonstrating His boundless love for the weary and hopeless.

The compassionate kindness and gentle spirit of God's people coming alongside would renew and your enlarge your faith in the body of Christ, that living organism that is the hands and feet of Jesus in this world.

You would rejoice at new life, one that will never be taken away. You would wonder at the quiet confidence that the new life is worth living, worth spending in obedience to Christ in view of the glories that await in heaven.

But it's not my story to tell.
