An uphill kind of day

I'm feeling a certain kinship with Sisyphus. It feels as if I've been busy all day trying to push huge boulders uphill, but every time I work up some momentum, someone grabs me by the arm and pulls me away, insistent that their needs trump anything else I may be working on. After picking up their stone and chucking it to the top of the hill for them, I return to my boulder, by this time nestled back in its familiar place at the bottom of the hill.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Taking a break to clear my mind, then on to entering numbers on a pdf. Mindless, but necessary; I deliberately save these things for the end of the day. At least there are leftovers for dinner (pizza from Aldi), so no need to think when I get home. Although there's still the memory work for the Good Friday service to work on...but that's another post.
