Spring that is, at least for a time, since there is a possibility of snow in Sunday's forecast.
Meanwhile, temperatures are supposed to reach the lower sixties tomorrow, even near the lake. Our students are on break; while they've paid hundreds or more to escape the Milwaukee snow and cold, we are enjoying five days of sunshine and warm weather.
But not the jello shots. At least not on company time.
The four hour meeting scheduled for this afternoon on our financial system conversion only lasted an hour and a half. Riding back from the meeting with one of the associate VPs proved beneficial; I simply told her I wasn't going back to the office. The fact that she knew I already had more than eight hours in probably helped...
So I, too, was sprung; I did not, however, leave to do jello shots.
A drive around the city, roof open, windows down and radio up was just what I needed to blow out a few cobwebs. Even if (when) we get another six inches of snow before the winter is truly over, in my heart, at least, we've moved to spring.
