Company Girl Coffee 031210

Welcome, company girls! Today's beverage is McDonald's hot chocolate - actually fairly tasty.

Lots of rearranging going on here this week. My friend the computer guy returned my computer, which had a meltdown. Since the computer desk had been leaning and threatening to fall apart for the last year, I took advantage of having to move the computer to clear the desk and take it apart, with an eye to replacing it.

Who knew disassembling a piece of furniture could be so much fun? My only regret is that it only took ten minutes (it really was on its last legs, so to speak).

An inexpensive replacement from Target took more time to get out of the box than to assemble (All I had to do was put on the four legs and the knob on the drawer; opening the box, pulling out the pieces, then breaking down the cardboard for recycling took considerably longer than actual assembly). The woods are slightly different colors, but in that sense "match" what's going on in the rest of the room, if you know what I mean!

Some quilting will be going on this weekend. A coworker is coordinating a handprint quilt made by her son's kindergarten class for their teacher, who is having a baby next month. I'm cutting out and partially piecing the sashing and borders for the quilt. What a cute, but practical gift from their class!

I'll try to get desk and/or quilt pictures up soon...after the camera software is reloaded on the computer!
