My apologies for the athletics related debate flame war in the comments to the link. Unfortunately, it will probably take an NCAA championship by our Golden Eagle men's basketball team for some people to get over the whole Warriors/Golden Eagles thing (then again, it probably won't; those people are rabid).

Back when he entered the priesthood, Father Wild probably didn't envision eventually being responsible for the academic, social and spiritual nurturing of the students, faculty, staff and adminstrators at an urban university. Yet he's done an admirable job; he will be missed.
