- I'm ready for winter to be over. Over fourteen inches of snow on Friday. We are only ("only" !!!!) fourteen more inches away from an all-time record. A new storm system on its way for this Thursday, with the possibility of heavy snows. I actually heard the meteorologist say we may break the record. Shoot.me.now.
- Driving back from Genesee (essential trip to the quilt store) today, with the CD player cranked, the moonroof open (oh yeah - it was 48 degrees today) and me singing along at the top of my lungs - priceless.
- Going through the drive-through at Cream City with the moonroof still open, while melting snow dripped off the eaves of the building...not so priceless, if you know what I mean.
- Bad, bad Diane - a quartet sang a wonderful song on Easter, slightly country in feel with tight harmonies. As I listened to them rehearse, I realized the first line of the chorus sounds note for note like the start of "I Can't Stop Lovin' You" - Ray Charles version (is it just me, or do his backup singers sound flat?) Anyway, that was it for me focusing on the real lyrics of the song. Forgive me.
- Haven't slept late yet, not likely to. The extra hours of sunshine seem to be energizing me.
- Completely finished the sherbet quilt and washed it - yes, the markings did all come out. That may have to do with the two hours I spent going over the top with marking-pencil-removal liquid (spray, let sit 15 seconds, rub, rinse). I wasn't going to risk it this time.
- Watched two movies (Heartbreak Kid - incredibly stupid and V for Vendetta, which I loved) along with the first three episodes of the 2005 series Odyssey 5. How did I not know about that at the time? Must have been on Sci-Fi, after I cancelled the cable.
Blogger is threatening to eat my post - "Warning! A connection cannot be established! Publishing and saving may fail!" At least it gives warnings now. Unfortunately, while I can copy from Word to Blogger, I can't seem to copy from blogger to save in a Word doc. So I'm going to be reckless here, and just hit "publish".
