- I woke up a number of times, not exactly getting a full night's sleep.
- A slat on my sixty year old, rickety bed decided to go wonky as a result of my tossing and turning, dropping the box spring/mattress an inch or so, once again waking me up.
- The bulb in the bedside lamp burned out when I turned it on; one more trip to Target after work for lighting supplies.
- Traffic on the interstate was just plain ugly - tailgaters, speeders, people with no sense of where they were going.
- The office coffee tastes a bit burned.
- Through a series of miscommunication/not thinking clearly, my boss and one of my direct reports (with whom I've discussed this type of issue with before) put through an entry for February this morning - a full week after we closed the month. As a result, at least four people (including me) will need to redo everything they've done on the financials over the last week.
- The friend I called to whine to is out of town (which I realized after dialing her number and wondering why there was no answer).
- AND to make matters worse, my direct report just told me there is some kerfuffle over whether this really should be a February entry, or if it should be March. AFTER I've already rerun the February reports.
I mean - what? I'm always nice to little people. I would have worn green today if I had any. While I'm not wild on cabbage, I do like corned beef. What have I done?
I suppose the chances of my finding that pot of gold today are pretty much zero.
