A house burned down in the flooded area - downed lines sparked an electrical fire. The firefighters couldn't get to the fire at first, because of downed power lines in the water they needed to cross to get to the fire. Water, water everywhere, and the house is a total loss from fire.
Hopefully, the train will pick another destination soon. They are calling for another 2-4" of rain out in the southwestern counties today. FEMA is coming in to assess the damage...why do I keep thinking that may be a disaster worse than the original flood?
