A while back I entered a book drawing Stephanie was holding. Her daughter very kindly drew my name as the winner! Here is a short interview with Jerome Teel, the author of The Divine Appointment.
Weaving a murder mystery, political intrigue and very real relationship issues together in a narrative that both makes sense and flows easily is a difficult task, but one that Mr. Teel accomplished with ease. While the cast is large, the characterizations are detailed enough that keeping track of who's who through the narrative is not a burden.
As the author states, the book is meant to be a Christian fiction political thriller; it is written from a decidedly Christian perspective, and not everyone will agree with the viewpoints presented. That's not to say you should not read the book simply because your beliefs and/or politics are different; in fact, that may be just the reason you should read it.
The "will Diane search for other books by the same author?" acid-test results: Yes, I will.
