Stupidest headline of the year (so far)

From ABC News: House Hesitates, Fears Cliff Deal Could Bloat Deficit

Strike that; it's not the headline that's stupid, it's the lawmakers.

The time to be concerned over deficit bloat was when you Democrats were pushing through Obamacare.

The time to be concerned over deficit bloat was when you Democrats failed to pass a budget at any time in the past four years.

The time to be concerned over deficit bloat was when your Democratic President was creating agency after agency, all designed to increase the number of people dependent on a government that thinks sound fiscal policy includes the option of simply printing more money.

Gah. If there is this much idiocy on January 1st, what will it be like the rest of the year?

While everyone is standing at the edge of the cliff pondering not how to avoid falling off of it, but how to escape with their political futures intact, they've taken the time to kick the debt ceiling can down the road another two months, so naturally, our lawmakers delayed mandatory sequestration by - gee, look at that - two months.

Those three days I spent without internet access and with the television unplugged? I think I need to do that again. My blood pressure needs a rest.

Get it done, folks. Think about the future of our country, not your careers.
